The concert for wings charged us with energy. The beautiful environment aroused the senses, various musical arrangements kept the pace of the evening
and the overall success of the event was a reward.
The Postal Court in Karlovy Vary was the venue for the concert of Ewa Farná, Bára Poláková, the duel of Ondřej Brzobohatý's
pianos with Ondřej Brousek and other performances by children's piano students. This charity event took place during the
55th International Film Festival as part of the Piano to Schools project.
Last September, the Karel Komárek Family Foundation bought 8 pianos and 3 pianos rejected by a Chinese client for 5.3 million
crowns after the visit of the President of the Czech Senate to Taiwan. The foundation donated those tools to basic art schools.
The overwhelming response that this gesture aroused to the Czech public led to the announcement of a public collection. Thanks
to the incredible approach of donors from the Czech Republic and abroad, more than 9 million crowns have so far been collected.
Thanks to this, the piano has already traveled to another 37 Czech schools. The last 8 schools and almost a thousand small
musicians who study piano at these schools are waiting for the new instrument.
